A memorial gathering of music and memories in celebration of Reagan’s life will be held on Saturday, Sept. 13, 6 to 11 p.m. in Thomson Hall of the Unitarian Universalist Church at 1818 Reservoir Road, Little Rock. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Special Collections of the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville Library to support the conservation and digitization of folklorist, Mary Parler’s field recordings of Ozark folk songs and tales. Address: University of Arkansas Libraries, Development Office, 365 N. McIlroy Ave., Fayetteville, Ark., 72701-4002. Please note “Mary Parler” in the memo line.
The official starting time is, in fact, 6 o'clock on Sat. the 13th. As the Marvinator pointed out, folks might start getting hungry about then, and they'd be more likely to hang in longer if there is food. You know the feeling when jujubes, pop-tarts, hog cracklin's, popcorn, kool-aid and Thunderbird sounds like a feast.(What's the price? Thirty twice.) I know Reagan always sang about the chitterling cooking time in Cheatum County but that's not in Arkansas. I think it's somewhere in the Apple-chain mountains.
