Festivals, Concerts and Jam Sessions / public pickin' opportunity
« on: July 22, 2004, 10:03:17 PM »
Pickoids: A friend has asked whether we might like to play at his relative's shop on Kavenaugh.  Apparently it's at a place called "Box Turtle", a gift shop, I  believe. He says the owner would prepare a place for us on a deck or such space, if we are interested.  I understand it's a regular event, first Thursday evenings, where shops stay open and people gather.  I can find out more details, check out the venue, get times, etc. but wanted to know first, whether this is of interest to the group, or a subset.  Any thoughts , reactions. questions? Don

Instrument Discussions / advice/suggestions requested
« on: December 06, 2003, 11:25:28 AM »
A friend has a friend who has a Martin D-28 he wants to sell.  All I know is that it's an'85 model with factory hardshell case. Supposedly not a scratch on it, and perfect.   I believe it has matched rosewood back and factory pickup. Would any of you have an idea==particularly those who know my level and style of playing== whether that might be a good choice?  I think he's asking about $1100. I've been thinking of grading up a bit. Thanks, Don
