With no music last week, and none scheduled this week, I know that you are anxiously awaiting our session on Sep 8. I have arranged something special for this session. Tim May and his wife Gretchen are professional musicians that live in the Nashville, TN area. They are on their way to a concert in KS and will spend the night at our house. How convenient! I invite you to Google "Tim May" or "Gretchen Priest" (
www.plaidgrass.net) to review their credentials. As an instructor at Camp Bluegrass, I have enjoyed Tim's teaching and playing for more than four years.
Now, here's the deal. We would like to have a "workshop/jam session" format. My plan right now is for us to play around the circle, then to ask Tim and Gretchen to play several numbers. I will have a better idea of the format when they arrive. I am "suggesting" a $10/per person for this event... obviously you may donate more. All proceeds will go to Tim and Gretchen.
Plan on arriving 7:00 - 7:15 and we'll start playing after that. The "quit time" is open, or until I fall asleep. We will have ice and mix and a few light snacks, everything else is on you. I would like to have an idea of how many people I can expect, so please RSVP.
See you Wednesday week, Sep 8.
